BUSINESS OVERVIEW
Jingle Chain creates unforgettable brand anthems, signature sounds, for businesses that help their clients stand out from their competition. They specialize in writing jingles in modern pop, hip hop, rock, country, R&B and traditional. In addition to jingles, they can produce voice overs, and You Tube music podcasts. Their services work in three main steps:
- Step 1: Help clients understand their business brand and image, and begin the writing process for music and lyrics to help promote their clients.
- Step 2: Clients receive a rough draft of the soundtrack or video to enable them to provide feedback to Jingle Chain before the final product is made.
- Step 3: The jingle is finalized, with mixed and mastered sounds with a clear and vibrant track to grab customers’ attention to their business.
10 Interview Questions for Successful Businesses.
What was your dream or vision when you started your business?
Our vision and dream for the business was to finally be able to make a living at something we loved to do. We wanted to focus on primarily jingles but that all changed as our business grew.
Was business location a weighty decision at the beginning?
Fortunately, we can conduct our business out of my own home which makes things much easier. There was no discussion on location at all.
Were you able to start your business on 40 hours per week?
No, both of us have other jobs and commitments so at the beginning it was a bit difficult to balance. Our plan is to slowly begin to phase out our other jobs.
What motivated you in the early years?
Our business is still young, only one year old, but most of the motivation came from within. We are musicians and artists that spend a lot of time on our craft. We were determined not to give up and make something happen.
Did your family and friends have any negative feedback when you first shared your business idea / vision with them?
We would have to say it was fairly split down the middle. Some people were very supportive, but some were not. A lot of family members thought it would be too difficult to earn a living at what we do. Others were incredibly supportive and have been since we even began our music careers.
What about your business makes you lose sleep at night?
We have gotten fairly good at not worrying but if we had to say something it would be figuring out how to obtain the next sale. After closing a deal, we are just so eager to go out and close another!
What was your biggest mistake? How did you recover?
Our biggest mistake was underpricing our service. We recovered by doing more research and finding out our true value for the next deal.
Did Covid impact your business?
Fortunately, our business had not been started when Covid struck.
Where do you see your business in 5 or 10 years?
In 5 or 10 years we see Jingle Chain making over 140k a year in profits. We expect to have a few other employees on the payroll with our focus being more of a complete marketing service. As of now most of our clients are based in our home city of London but in 5 years our expectations are to satisfy customers all over the world.
If you had to do it all again, would you?
Yes, we would absolutely do it all over again. You don’t get anywhere if you don’t take
risks.
What would be your TOP 3 pieces of advice for new entrepreneurs?
- Be patient but persistent. Some things might take time to see results and growth. The only way to fail is to give up on your dream.
- Know who your competition is and do your research because that will make your strategy much more effective. Understanding who you’re competing against in your market can help you in so many ways but ultimately it can help you set your prices competitively and stand out.
- Have a plan and a goal in mind when starting your business. If you have no direction, it’s very easy to stray off course, you can waste time and money without a plan. Owning your own business is very time consuming so having your goals set can really help you balance the busy lifestyle. If you know what you’re working towards then it’s easier to reach it.
The Importance of Testimonials

Why are testimonials important for entrepreneurs to have on their website?
A1: They provide valuable feedback about what customers appreciate or make suggestions for improvement.
A2: Sharing stories makes a brand (entrepreneur) seem more relatable and trustworthy; adding a human element to a business.
A3: They show potential customers that our clients have had a positive experience with your business product or service.
Why are jingles so catchy?
Memorability. One of the primary goals of advertising is to create a lasting impression on the consumer. Jingles are an incredibly effective way to achieve this goal due to their innate memorability. They use repetition, rhyme, and melody to create a catchy tune that is difficult to forget.
